| With the 20th pick in the draft, the Bucs select.................................. James Hardy, WR Indiana 4 WRs taken in a row? Yes. Hardys stock has been rising for a long time and Tampa Bay lacks size at WR. Hardy will be a great #1 WR after Galloway retires. The Bucs may look to add another WR later in the draft. | |

| With the 21st pick in the draft, The Redskins select............................ Phillip Merling, DE Clemson The Redskins biggest need is at DE, hence the pick of Merling. Merling has pretty good size and speed and also adds much needed youth on the D-Line of the Redskins. | |

| With the 22nd pick in the NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select................... Aqib Talib CB Kansas This is a need pick in two areas. The 'boys need a CB and a good returner and Talib fills both of those needs. Talib has a long frame and can cover WR's of any size. With Newman, Talib, Henry, Williams and Hamlin in the backfield, they're defense should be scary good. | |

| After trading with the Steelers............ With the 23rd overall pick in the draft, the Falcons pick..................... Sam Baker OT USC The Falcons pushed to get Nick Kaczur from the Pats to replace the 36 year old Wayne Gandy at the RT position. Now they get a solid LT in Sam Baker. They drafted Justin Blaylock in the second round of last years draft, and now Atlanta has a pretty good OL all of a sudden. With the additions of Michael Turner and Antwaan Randle El, their offense as a whole should be much improved. | |

| With the 24th pick in the draft, the Titans select.................. Antoine Cason CB Arizona The Titans have only a few needs, and defensive secondary is definitely one of them. Cason shines in the spotlight and had a phenomenal combine. Some analysts believe he will be gone by the 20th pick in the draft. He has decent size (6-0) and good speed (low 4.4's). | |

| With the 25th pick in the draft, the Texans select....................... Branden Albert, G Virginia The Texans have had major O-line problems since they've been around so they finally get a round 1 O-Lineman. He played G at Virginia but can also play T, which is an added bonus. | |

| With the 26th pick in the draft, the Lions select............................ Kentwan Balmer, DT North Carolina DET traded away Shaun Rogers, so they solidify his spot with another DT. Balmer has shown tremondous potential and had been a dominate force at times last season. | |

| With the 27th pick in the draft, The Rams select.................................. Derrick Harvey, DE Florida The Rams #1 concern was its lack of a pass rush and Harvey is a pass rush specialist. The Rams had Chris Long as #1 on their board but Miami took him. Gholston was a possiblity, but the Rams felt that he was not worth the #2 pick and they felt they could snag a good pass rushing DE later in the draft, which they have succesfully done by getting Harvey. St. Louis also considered OLB Keith Rivers because of the loss of Brandon Chillar to Green Bay, but St. Louis needs a pass rushing DE more. | |

| With the 28th pick in the NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select......... Keith Rivers OLB USC HOW DOES HE FALL THIS FAR?????????? Rivers should be gone by pick 15 at the latest, and this makes him just wayyy too good to pass up at 28. Rivers can sit for a year and learn under the vet Zach Thomas. Rivers will be moved to ILB in the 3-4 (where his size says he'll be best at), and I"m sure learning from one of the best ILB of all time will help speed his learning curve a lot. This is a slight project pick, but with this value, it was just too hard to pass it up. | |

| With the 29th pick in the NFL Draft, the 49er's select......... Quentin Groves, DE The 49'ers were terrible getting to the QB last year, Groves will help improve their sack count. | |

| With the 30th pick in the draft, the Packers select...................................... Reggie Smith, CB/S Oklahoma
One of the Packers only needs was in the secondary. Al Harris & Charles Woodson are getting old and the S position is a bit of a ? as well. With Smith, the Pack kill 2 birds with one stone because he can play S, but he also has great size for a CB which GB seems to like. | |

| With the final pick in the first round, the Giants select..................... Dan Connor LB Penn State The Giants offense looked good, but they need to replace some players that left via free agency, especially along the linebacking core. This is a need based pick, and Connor is a very intelligent LB and could become the defensive signal caller eventually. | |
