| With the 2nd pick in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft the Cincinnati Bengals select.......................... Kentwan Balmer DT North Carolina The Bengal need help on the defensive side of the ball, and with the Bengals seeing Balmer falling, they had to pull the trigger and trade up 5 spots to get him. The Bengals had a hard time stopping the run last year and by drafting Rivers (first round) and Balmer (second round) will really help their run defense. | |

| With the 3rd pick in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft the Miami Dolphins select.......................... James Hardy WR Indiana With Miami Dolphins trading Chris Chamber and releasing Marty Booker, they need some offensive weapons. Even though they draft Ted Ginn Jr with the #9 overall pick last year they still need WR help. James Hardy would be a great fit here to compliment Ginns speed. He is a Very Tall and big WR who still runs a good 40 for his size. Hardy and Baker (OT-late first round pick) should both help to develope John Beck. | |

| With the 4th pick in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft the Oakland Raiders select.......................... Lawrence Jackson DE USC Adding DE Lawrence Jackson and DT Glenn Dorsey would really solidify there run defense and there secondary has been very strong the past few year with CB Nnamdi Asomugha being franchised. That is a tough defense. | |

| With the #5 pick in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select.......................... Branden Albert OG Virginia The Chiefs need to open running lanes for LJ, and keep newly acquainted rookie QB Matt Ryan standing upright. Albert is the best guard in the draft, and this could be a steal seeing as how he slipped to the second round. Both of KC's guards are over 30, and their line played horrible last year. There was no great LT pick here, but Albert should instantly upgrade the left side of this unit. | |

| With the 6th pick in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons select.................. Brandon Flowers CB Virginia Tech Flowers is not the biggest, or fast or stronggest CB in the draft but he still can play ball. He ran an decnt 40 time at the combine also, not amazing but decent (4.55). He will be DeAngelo Hall's replacement in Atlanta, and has been skyrocketing up draft boards during the last month. He came out as a junior, and if he had stayed, he could have been an early first round pick next season. He and Chris Houston will make a good secondary at ATL, and Hall won't be missed after a while. Mayock had Flowers ranked as the number 7 overall player on his board. (whatever thats worth. lol). | |

| With the 7th pick in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, the 49'ers select.................. Marcus Howard, Georgia With no good OT's available this early, the 49'ers turn to the D. Howard had a great combine which moved him up on most draft boards, and he will fit great opposite Manny Lawson and complete what could be an amazing LB core after Patrick Willis' spectacular year. | |

| With the 8th pick in the 2nd round, The Baltimore Ravens select.............................. Brian Brohm, QB Louisville Brohm fell all the way to the 2nd round to Baltimore who is in desperate need of a QB with McNair being old and hurt, Boller is nothing more than a back-up, and Troy Smith is still a work in progress. Baltimore needs a QB who may have to start right away. The Ravens also were looking at D-Lineman but the Ravens do not need instant starters on the d-line, but do need a QB who can start day 1 - and Brohm may be that guy. | |

| With the 9th pick in the 2nd round, The St. Louis Rams select................................. Dre Moore, DT Maryland The addition of Dre Moore will allow last years 1st round pick, Adam Carricker, to move to DE, which is the Rams' real need. The Rams decided to go with a DT to make Carricker a DE rather than leaving him at DT. The Rams felt more comfortable with Carricker as a DE and Dre Moore was probably the best D-Lineman available at this pick. | |

| With the 10th pick in the 2nd round, The St. Louis Rams select................................. Dan Connor LB Penn St. The saints need a major defense overhaul. There secondary is weak, so we added Mike Jenkins in the first round and our run defense wasnt the best. Our LB core is weak esspecially losing our MLB to FA (no big lose) and Dan Connor could play OLB or ILB in a 3-4 defensive scheme. Connor could be considered a steal here because he was once considered the top LB in this draft. He has great value here and couldn't pass on him. | |

| With the 11th pick in the 2nd round, The Bills select................................ Fred Davis, TE USC With the injury to Kevin Everett and Robert Royal not really that great of a TE, the Bills need a TE desperately. Davis is a great TE and the Bills get a steal by getting him in the second round. I'm at home on Dial-up, so im not going to post a picture lol. | |

| With the 12th pick in the second round, the Atlanta Falcons select........ Devin Thomas WR Michigan Devin Thomas is a big WR who ran a blazing fast 40 at the combine. (4.32) Placing McFadden in the backfield, Gosder at LT and now Thomas opposite of Roddy White makes this Falcon offense start to look scary. | |

| WIth the 13th pick in the second round, the Carolina Panthers select..... Chad Henne QB Michigan Henne's stock has been on the rise since impressing scouts at the senior bowl. He can avoid a pass rush, and has a cannon for an arm. In the senior bowl he showed scouts that his greatest asset is being able to pass the ball down field effectively, which I'm sure Steve Smith will like. Vinny is done (finally) and Matt Moore is not and never was the answer in Carolina. | |

| With the 17th pick in the 2nd round, the VIkings select....................... Chilo Rachal, OG USC Look at this guys face...how can he not be a beast? Minnesota needs some depth on the Oline and with no great CB or S player left here, they build up the Oline, which will make AP happier, Jackson play better and give the WRs more time to get open. Rachal is an awesome guard and also Hutchinson is getting older and is going to need a replacement soon. | |

| With the 18th pick in the 2nd round, the Jets select....................... Jerod Mayo, ILB Tennessee (Top Guy) Even with the Jets trading down, they got a great player in a position of great need. The Jets really need a big inside linebacker to replace Vilma (traded to the Rams). Vilma wasn't a good fit for there 3-4 defense and had to be traded. Jerod Mayo was considered to be a 1-2 round talent and he fell to the 18th pick in the 2nd round which could be considered a steal. The Jets tried trading up a 2 spots with the Cardinals to take Felix Jones but the Cardinals must have valued Felix more than what the Jets where willing to give, but anyways they still got a great LB and since they traded down they have 2 more extra picks (4th and 5th from Falcons). | |

| With the 20th pick in the 2nd round, the Buccaneers select..................................... Trevor Laws, DT Notre Dame The only glaring weakness in Tampa's tough Defense is on the inside of the line that has been weak since losing Warren Sapp and Anthony McFarland. Trevor Laws will give Tampa an inside presence on the D-Line and make their D even tougher. If Laws works out, Tampa could be a few offensive players away from another Super Bowl. | |

| With the 21st pick in the 2nd round, the Redskins select..................................... Josh Barrett, SS Arizona State With the death of Sean Taylor, the Redskins need some security at the S position. Barrett can team with LaRon Landry and form a good last line of Defense for the Redskins D. The Redskins have some more glaring needs than S, but Barrett was the best value at this pick and Washington will look to address other needs later in the draft. | |
