ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports DeAngelo Hall will sign a seven-year, $70 million contract with the Raiders.
However, as NFL Network's Adam Schefter has reported, the deal is far from done. The sides haven't agreed on exact compensation. Hall is flying to meet with owner Al Davis on Wednesday night and if all goes well, will sign the most lucrative contract for a cornerback in league history. Nate Clements' deal was for seven years, $64 million (not eight years, $80 million). Hall's signing bonus and amount of guaranteed money is still unknown.

| 7 year 70 million is crazy talk. no wonder al davis's franchise is horrible. he spends WAY too much money guys with character issues or are unproven or dont deserve the money take a look.
DeAngelo Hall CB-Character issues; overpaid Randy Moss WR-Character issues and trade him for only a 4th rounder (stupid) Tommy Kelly DT-WAY overpaid (highest contract for a DT. EVER 50.5 mill and 18 mill guarenteed; UDFA in '05) JaMarcus Russell QB-unproven and way overpaid (#1 overall) Plus they still have to pay Nnamdi Asomugha CB alot of money. They are gonna be in money/cap problems
He is also trying to run his coach out of town by making him resign | |
