With Miami cutting 9 players, they add 13 million cap space to there 35.5 M. They will oly be able to use about 9 Million of that 13 million due to prorated bonuses paid to those players, So they now have about 48.5 Million but can use 44.5 million for this off-season and 39 players on there roster.

The moves free up approximately $13 million in salary-cap space, but a little more than half that sum can be used in the upcoming free-agency period because of the prorated bonuses paid to Green, Booker, Traylor and Shelton. The Dolphins are coming

Looks like there might be a big off-season for Miami.

Any other team's cut people and how much cap do they save by cutting them?

Panther cut Morgan and Wahle which saved them 7 million in cap. so now they have about 13.05 million in cap so far.

Quote :
The moves save the Panthers about $7 million in salary-cap space effective June 2. The Panthers gained about $3.3 million by releasing Morgan and $4.1 million by cutting Wahle.

Now if Zach Thomas is cut tomarrow (which it is rumored) miami will save 6million more in Cap. that brings our cap to about 54.5 Million below and could use 50.5 Million this offseason.

Washington has done a good job of getting some cap space. Glad to see Pittsburgh is broke almost, looks like Fitz's new contract is going to hurt the Cards. Also, Tampa has 42 mil left, so Gruden can still pick 11-12 more QB's! roflmao You would think with all the cap room that Tennessee has that they would be going after Bryant Johnson, they need WR's and he's the best guy available right now.

Actually, the Fitz contract saved the Cards like 7 or 8 million. The cards now have something like 8 million or so left under the cap.
