| With the 1st pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select.................. Chris Long DE/OLB Virginia
Miami tried to trade down with a few teams but couldn't get enough value to possibly miss out in selecting one of the elite prospects (Chris Long, Jake Long, Darren McFadden or Glenn Dorsey). Chris Long is one of the best, if not the best, players in this years draft. After his workout at the combine and his pro day workout, he proved that he is worthy of the #1 overall pick. He really impressed everyone at his workout and showed his versatility by working out as a LB at his pro day and doing excellent. He compares to Shawn Merriman (drafted 11th overall in 2005 draft out of Maryland). Both played DE in college and they are the exact same weight and only 1 inch shorter than Merriman. They both have the motor skills and the ability to get to the QB or put pressure on him at a consistent basis. Chris Long has great character and that is what you have to have in your #1 overall pick. Chris Long isn't rated this high because of his name, he is one of the hardest working players in this draft. Chris Long will play the Strong-side OLB opposite of Joey Porter next season. He is the only player in this draft that I would feel 100% comfortable paying the #1 overall money to. It is too much of a risk to pay 60 million to a unproven QB (Ryan) or to an injury prone DT (Dorsey) or a OT that many people think will only play RT in the NFL (J. Long).

| With the 2nd overall pick in the draft, the Rams select........................................ Jake Long, OT Michigan The Rams were hoping to trade down, but KC was the only team who showed interest and decided to actually trade down rather than up. Long will help protect Bulger and open running lanes for Steven Jackson and barring major injuries on the Rams roster, their O will be solid again. Pace may be done and if not, Long will have an opportunity to either sit and learn from one of the best LT's ever in the NFL or still learn and have an opportunity to gain experience playing at RT. | |

| With the 3rd pick in the draft, The Ravens select...................................... Matt Ryan, QB Boston College Bal traded up to get their QB of the future who is the only QB capable of being a starter from day one. Matt Ryan will finally give BAL a legitimate QB in their offense and will instantly help their offense. BAL had a down year, but has a team that is more than capable of being a playoff contender next season - even with Ryan as the starter. That is the reason BAL traded up and still has 6 picks remaining in rounds 3-7 that will be basically for depth as BALs starters are solid across the board. | |

| With the 4th pick in the first round, the Oakland Raiders select..................... Darren McFadden RB Arkansas Darren is one of the best players available in the draft. He is a two time runner up in the Heisman race. If McFadden was off the board the Raiders would have tried to trade down and pick up some more draft picks but he istoo good of a talent to pass up. McFadden is a very versatile RB who is great at finding wholes and catching the ball. He ran a 4.27 at the combine, which wowed everyone there. | |

| With the 5th pick in the 2008 NFL draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select............. Sedrick Ellis DT USC The Bengals Traded up to get Sedrick Ellis because he is the best DT in the Draft, especially since Glenn Dorsey has the injury problems. Sedrick Ellis totally dominated the Senior Bowl and proved to be a top 5 prospect. The Bengals are in desperate need of defensive line and LB help and Ellis goes along way to improving that. | |

| With the 6th overall pick in the first round, The New York jets select................. Vernon Gholston, DE/OLB Ohio State The Jets select Gholston because he is the best guy on the board. They considered Dorsey and McKlevin but couldn't pass on Gholston. He would add great talent to there LB core on the opposite side of Calvin Pace. Gholston was probably the person who benefited the most from his combine workout. H posted amazing numbers. Gholston is a great prospect that has great upside to him. He is a talented pass rusher and showed he can dominate by demolishing a top prospect in Jake Long (2nd pick overall) in the Ohio State-Michigan game. | |

| With the 7th pick in the draft, the Patriots select.......................................... Ryan Clady, T Boise State The Pats were interested in Gholston or trading down, but when the Jets took Gholston it put an end to both so the Pats take the BPA at a position of "need." Kazcur is a decent T, but Clady may be an upgrade to him especially at RT. Clady will push Kazcur at RT and will add tremedous depth to an already great O-Line. The Pats considered going at a CB here, but felt that the pick would be a reach and may try to trade up later to grab a CB in the late 1st early 2nd. | |

| With the 8th overall pick in the draft, the Falcons pick................... Dominique Rodgers Cromartie Cromartie has been climbing up the charts since the start of the draft talk. He absolutely lit up the senior bowl covering everyone they lined up across from him. He has tremendous size being 6-1 tall, 184 lbs and has fluid hips and awesome speed. Many considered McKelvin the best CB in the draft, ATL thinks that Cromartie's size and physical play pushes him ahead of Leodis. Also, this pick makes the loss of DeAngelo Hall much easier. | |

| With the 9th pick in the draft, the Kansas City Chiefs pick......................... Glenn Dorsey DT LSU The Chiefs were strongly considering McKelvin at the number 9 spot, but after looking at his stats, they were overall very unimpressed and didn't see the hype that he had brought. Dorsey was once considered a first overall pick contender and heisman hopeful. He has an injury concern, but it's a risk worth taking. Kansas City was great against the pass last season, but was horrible (28th) against the run. With no offensive picks worth taking here, they try to upgrade a weakness on their team and Dorsey will also help open up J. Allen more to get to the QB even more than he did last season. | |

| With the 10th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, New Orleans Saints select.............. Leodis Mcklevin CB Troy State The Saints could have went with many picks here but McKlevin is the top rated CB in this draft. He had a great combine and rana 4.38. He also can be used as a return specialist, which they need since reggie bush is too valuable to use as a returner. There secondary has been horrible and McKlevin will be an instant help. McKlevin is the Saints top guy on there board and to get him at number ten is awesome. | |

| With the 11th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, The Bills select.............. Mike Jenkins, CB, South Florida They lost a lot of DB's in free agency, and when you have to play Moss and Welker twice a year, too many CB's is never bad. | |

| With the 12th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, The Broncos select.............. Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt Who better to protect Jay Cutler than his college teammate? The Broncos believe that Ryan Harris and Eric Pears can both hold up the tackle positions next year, but if one of them falls there is no depth. | |

| With the 13th pick, the Panthers select..................... Kenny Phillips FS Miami This team is much better than what their record showed last season. This year Delhomme should be coming back which will help tremendously, they also added weapons in DJ Hackett and Muhsin Muhammad to compliment Steve Smith. The offense should be good, the defense needs some help though, especially vs the pass. Phillips can step right in and play and he fits the biggest need for this team as well. | |

| With the 15th pick in the draft, The Lions select............................................. Rashard Mendenhall, RB Illinois DET goes with the BPA and RB is a need for DET after losing Duckett and releasing Kevin Jones. Mendenahll will probably share carries with Tatum Bell, but Mendenhall is the future at RB for DET. Other than O-line the DET offense is set (even after trading Roy Williams to the Jags). The Lions will look to add an O-Lineman somewhere in the draft, but Defense will be the biggest focus for DET throughout the draft. | |

| TRADE!!!
DET & JAX
DET Gets: 1st round (#26) 5th round (#151) DE Paul Spicer
JAX Gets: WR Roy Williams 3rd round (#87)
DET gets an extra 1st rounder that they can use to upgrade the O-Line or Defense or trade later in the draft. Spicer will help to upgrade the D-Line which has seen Shaun Rogers traded and Kalimba Edwards released. Spicer will team with DeWayne White and Corey Redding to make a solid D-Line. Spicer plays DE, but has the size (290 -300 pounds) to play inside as well. DET had 2 very good offers from ATL and PHI but DET liked JAX offer the best because of the possibilities it brings with the extra 1st round pick.

| With the 16th pick in the draft, The Cardinals select................ Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon Even with a toe injury, he is still an elite RB. A toe is a toe, an injury that will heal. If he had knee problems, I'd expect teams to shy away but he will heal, and he is a great RB. With Edgerin James over 30, and not very productive, Stewart will get a shot at being a starter early. | |

| With the 17th pick in the NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select.................. Malcolm Kelly WR Oklahoma The Vikings did deal for Berrian from Chicago this offseason, but why not add another explosive weapon to this offense with tons of potential? They now have AP in the backfield, a STELLAR line, and two great WR's. Their D is fantastic against the run (which personally I'd rather take a D good against the run than a D that defends the pass well), so with no great pick on the defensive side of the ball here, they try to turn a weakness into the strength of the offense. With all the weapons that Jackson has now, there is no reason for him to struggle. | |

| With the 18th overall pick in the 2008 Nfl Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select.............. Limas Sweed WR Texas Just recently Limas Sweed has surpassed Malcolm Kelly as the #2 WR on some draft boards (walterfootball.com) and isnt a stretch picking here. Alot of people have Desean Jackson rated #1 WR but i dont think so. Sweed had alot of success in college and should continue it in the Pros. He is a Big WR 6-4 216 who runs a 4.46, thats really good. Seattle considered other options here and we offered some trades to move down but really had to get a WR in this draft. Seattle lost Dj Hackett in FA and Branch hasnt been healthy all last year. They need another WR and Sweed would make an instant impact and fits in really well in Seattle. The Texans gave the Seahawks a good offer to trade and couldnt refuse all the picks they were getting because they move ahead of some teams that could have Sweed high on there board. Sorry Vince Young no reunion for you. lol | |
