| With the 24th pick in the third round the Titans select................... Eddie Royal WR Virginia Tech
Vince Young needs some weapons, and they've already added Limas Sweed in the first round. They needed a good #2 guy that could stretch the field and Royal can do just that running a 4.39 at the combine. He also served as a PR/KR for Virginia Tech, which fills another need of the Titans. Royal is considered a 2nd round pick by some experts, so this is a great value pick in the third round.

| With the 26th pick in the 3rd round the Jacksonville Jaguars select................ Mario Manningham WR Michigan Well, the Jaguars are a tough team to draf for. They are solid all around over the place. They have a great running game, good QB very solid defense with a good pass defense and great run defense. There are very few whole like DE, SS, WR. I drafted a DE (1st round) and a SS (2nd round) so them places are set now. WR is a rough place to look. Their WR really played prety well towards the end of the season but do need upgraded. But they did trade a 6th for Troy Williamson and did get Jerry Porter in FA. So why do I have them drafting a WR? take a look at there other needs: A Blocking TE, CB, O-line back-ups, 35rd string QB, and a punt returner. There is no good Bocking TE's that have good value here, same with CB's and O-line (there is a few but not better than Mario Manningham) and Mario is a really good Punt returner. Mario Maningham was a late 1st early 2nd rounder until he did horrible at the combine and ran a 4.59 40 and did horrible in the interview room. BUT Mario did redeem himself at his proday workout by running a 4.38 and a 4.44 40 there. I think the Jaguars got a great value pick here getting a WR/PR. | |

| With the 27th pick in the 3rd round the Bears select................ Heath Benedict, Newberry Some might question his level of competition in college, but he has the build and talent for the NFL. He has a great upper body and a good frame, but is a little weak in his legs. With some work, he could take over at OT soon. | |

| With the 28th pick in the 3rd round, the Miami Dolphins select................... DeMario Pressley DE/DT N.C. State DeMario Pressley would improve the Miami Dolphins Defensive Line and could start imediately. He was a projected 2nd round talent earlier in the offseason. He is a 300 lb monster. He has had some injury problems in 2006 but is a really talented player. I think he is a great fit for a 3-4 DE. Lets Take a look at how the defense has changed this offseason. Added this offseasonStarting D-line: Starks (FA), Ferguson (trade), Pressley (3rd round)Starting LB: Long (1st rounder), Goff (2nd rounder), Torbor (FA), Porter Starting DB: Hall (trade), W. Allen, J. Allen, Bell (resigned)Also Miami has add pretty good depth at LB and the DB position (something we didnt have last year). That is a well Improved defense. | |

| With the 30th pick in round 3, the Packers select....................... Drew Radovich, G USC
The Packers don't have too many needs so why not get some depth on the O-Line. O-Line and D-Line are the most important groups on the field and Green Bay already has a very good D-Line and the O-Line is pretty good too, but O-Line depth NEVER hurts.

| With the 31st pick in round 3, the Patriots select................................. Jason Jones, DE/OLB Eastern Michigan
The Patriots already added Vernon Gholston, but the LB Corps of the Patriots is pretty old everywhere so they've added to future starters at OLB in their 3-4 Defense. New England will look to go Defense the rest of the draft (if we were doing it). The Pats biggest concerns the rest of the way are ILB and CB/S.

| With the last pick of the third round, the Giants (finally) pick.................. Frank Okam DT Texas Okam was originally a 1st-early 2nd round talent. He gained a ton of weight before the combine, weighing in at 347 though, dropping his stock A TON. The Giants plan on moving Justin Tuck to DE after Strahan retires (which could happen any minute), and will need an eventual replacement. If Okam can shed a few pounds, he can regain his form, making him worth the risk of drafting him with the last pick in the third round. | |
