Toledo's hockey franchise to be named the "Walleye"

Toledo Arena Sports has announced the hockey team that will play in the new downtown arena will be called the Toledo Walleye. The Walleye will replace the former Toledo Storm, which suspended operation in 2007 after it was announced that the Toledo Sports Arena would be demolished. The new team will play in the ECHL, the same league that the Storm played in.

Any thoughts on the new name?

It sounds dumb, but I guess it's just the ECHL.

Man, the name Walleyes does strike fear in me. Psych! The logo looks cool but the name stinks.

It reminds me of another team that is named after a fish and strikes fear in no one. I can't think of their name, maybe you can help me out? They play in the NFL.

I think you are talking about the dolphins, but im not sure because they do kill sharks in the ocean. they are pretty bad ass. i'd take dolphins over walleye's anyday. people fish for walleyes everyday and eat them. dolphins might not strike fear but they are highly respected among all the other fish. LOL. All fishes know not to double cross a dolphin if they want to live awhile.
